Our Story

Our story began the way most modern love stories do: quietly, through an app.

In late 2021, I (Haley ) had just moved back home to Ocala from Miami to finish school, hovering in that in-between where the future feels both wide open and slightly stalled. On a whim (and perhaps a little curiosity), I widened my Hinge radius beyond Ocala. Around the same time, Zubin had also left Miami, only to land in Tampa.

A few messages later, we set a breakfast date at On Swann in Hyde Park, now one of our forever favorites. It was my first blind date, so I was definitely nervous… but also immediately charmed. Then came the miles. For two years, we did the long distance thing. Some of our favorite early memories are the simple ones: time in Ocala learning about each other, cooking together, sharing our favorite movies, and experimenting with new cocktails at home. Not to mention the countless drives to Tampa to meet Zubin's friends and try new things, like bringing Zubin to Pilates—you know… the kind of moments that build a life without announcing themselves. Somewhere along the way, we learned there isn’t a distance big enough to keep us apart.

These days, our favorite thing is still the simplest thing: being together. Traveling, trying new foods, learning new things, and documenting it all through Zubin’s lens. We’re so excited to spend the rest of our lives building a home, wherever we are, together.
